Morgan and Sara randomly decided one night to become bloggers. Specifically, bloggers of the food variety. This decision was made while enjoying incredible food and partaking in delicious wine, something they do frequently. The wine may or may not have had a part in the decision to put their savory talents to use and share their food expeditions with the world.
What do these gals have in common? Other than being delightfully beautiful, both women are in their mid to late 20's and love the rich tastes of food. They live in the DC/Maryland/Virginia (DMV) region and will most frequently visit places in this region. Every so often, each will take trips to places and will share her own experience in restaurants, giving you, our readers, a new flavor in a new place. Both have the belief that wonderful food does not have to cost your mortgage, but the flavors must range from the rich and powerful to the simple and subtle. Both also happen to be single after a great many trials and tribulations with the male species. Time is well spent in each others company. Ultimately, each young woman is looking for happiness, healthiness, and hilarity.
Now, what are the differences between these lovely ladies?
Sara is currently working her way into and through medical school with the ultimate goal of becoming a psychiatrist. She loves all types of food and is well trained in detecting flavors, but is also allergic to jalapenos. She collects all things owls, so do not be surprised to see many a picture with owls somehow in them.
Morgan has recently completed her second Masters and is on break until beginning her life as a teacher in the new year, 2012. She is convinced that her sense of taste is magnified and therefore able to taste the subtle undertones of flavors. She is a bookworm to the extreme and must be torn away from the literary pages to partake in life's adventures.

Now, why do we say gastronomic pleasures? What does gastronomic even mean?
According to the Dictionary, gastronomic comes from gastronomy, which has a definition that infinitely applies to us, "the art or science of good eating". As we intend to make eating an art, savoring the flavors, developing an even more advanced palate, gastronomic pleasures seemed to just work for us. Unique, funky, with a blend of fun and whimsy.
This blog will be updated at least once month, in order to ensure that we find the most interesting and tasteful of restaurants to share with you.
